أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ وَقَعَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ فِي رَمَضَانَ، فَقَالَ: " أَعْتِقْ رَقَبَةً "، قَالَ: مَا أَجِدُهَا، قَالَ: " فَصُمْ شَهْرَيْنِ "، قَالَ: مَا أَسْتَطِيعُ، قَالَ: " فَأَطْعِمْ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِينًا ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about a man who had intercourse with his wife in Ramadan: "Free a slave." He said: I cannot find one. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fast two months." He said: I am not able to. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then feed sixty poor people."
