أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، ح. وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَا: ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَتْ أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ فِي مَنَامِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا رَأَتْ ذَلِكَ الْمَرْأَةُ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ " فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ: وَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ، قَالَتْ: وَهَلْ يَكُونُ هَذَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " فَمِنْ أَيْنَ يَكُونُ الشَّبَهُ إِنَّ مَاءَ الرَّجُلِ غَلِيظٌ أَبْيَضُ، وَمَاءُ الْمَرْأَةِ رَقِيقٌ أَصْفَرُ، فَمِنْ أَيِّهِمَا عَلَا أَوْ سَبَقَ يَكُونُ مِنْهُ الشَّبَهُ " لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الْعَبَّاسِ، رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ.
Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) related that she asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about a woman who sees in her sleep what a man sees. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a woman sees that, she should perform ghusl." Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Feeling shy, I asked: Does this really happen? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then where does the resemblance come from? The man's water is thick and white, and the woman's water is thin and yellow; whichever of the two prevails or comes first, the resemblance comes from it."
