Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever accepts one thing (from me), I promise him Paradise."
Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah, I (am ready). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then do not ask people for anything." He (the narrator) said: Often his whip would fall while he was on his camel, and even then he would not tell anyone to hand it to him, until he would dismount himself and pick it up.
