Bayhaqi 7770 — "The best charity is that given out of surplus"

Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best charity is that which leaves one self-sufficient; the upper hand is better than the lower hand; and begin with your own family."
