Sayyiduna Ziyad bin al-Harith al-Suda'i (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); then he narrated the whole hadith. Then another man came and said: O Prophet of Allah! Give me something. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever asks people while he is well-off will have pain in his head and disease in his belly." The questioner said again: Give me from the sadaqah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Allah Almighty is not pleased with the decision of a Prophet or anyone else concerning the sadaqat, until He Himself decided about them and fixed eight portions. If you are from among them, I will give to you," or he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We will give you your right."
