باب: ما دل على أن زكاة الفطر إنما تجب صاعا بصاع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وأن الاعتبار في ذلك بصاع أهل المدينة الذين كانوا يقتاتون به
Chapter: Evidence that zakat al-fitr is due as a sa' by the sa' of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and that the standard is the sa' of the people of Madinah which they used for their food

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْمِيزَانُ عَلَى مِيزَانِ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ، وَالْمِكْيَالُ مِكْيَالُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The scale is the scale of the people of Makkah, and the measure is the (standard) measure of the people of Madinah."
