Bayhaqi 7312 — The choicest of people's wealth is not taken

وَرُوِّينَا عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ: " إِذَا انْتَهَى الْمُصَدِّقُ إِلَى الْغَنَمِ صَدَعَهَا صَدْعَيْنِ فَيَأْخُذُ صَاحِبُ الْغَنَمِ خَيْرَ الصَّدْعَيْنِ وَيَأْخُذُ صَاحِبُ الصَّدَقَةِ مِنَ الصَّدْعِ الْآخَرِ ".
Al-Hakam said: When the collector came to the sheep, he would divide them into two parts; then the owner of the sheep would take the better part, and the collector would collect from the other part.
