أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ شَاذَانَ، بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أنبأ إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: نَهَى أَنْ تُتْبَعَ جِنَازَةٌ مَعَهَا رَنَّةٌ.
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade "that a funeral be followed by women whose wailing is heard."
