Bayhaqi 7121 — The prohibition of the calls of the Jahiliyyah

Usayd bin Abi Usayd (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from a woman among those who pledged allegiance (may Allah be pleased with her) that among the matters of what is right on which he (peace and blessings be upon him) took our pledge, it was binding on us "that we would not disobey him (peace and blessings be upon him), would not scratch the face, would not raise a cry like that of the Days of Ignorance, would not tear open the collar, and would not dishevel the hair."
