Bayhaqi 7119 — The prohibition of the calls of the Jahiliyyah

Abu Burdah bin Abi Musa (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill and fainted while his head was in the lap of a woman of his family, and she screamed; he was not able to respond to her (that is, to silence her). When he came round, he said: I am free of those of whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared himself free. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am free of the women who beat their chests, who rend their garments, and who tear out their hair."
