رَوَى أَبُو دَاوُدَ فِي الْمَرَاسِيلِ عَنْ أَبِي كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مِعْشَرٍ " أَنَّ رَجُلًا نَوَّرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ الْعَانَةَ كَفَّ الرَّجُلُ، وَنَوَّرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَفْسَهُ ".
It is narrated from Abu Ma'shar (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man was removing the hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); when he reached the pubic area, the man stopped, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) removed the hair himself.
