أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى، يَقُولُ: كَانَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يُصَلِّي عَلَى جَنَائِزِنَا وَيُكَبِّرُ أَرْبَعًا فَكَبَّرَهَا يَوْمًا خَمْسًا، فَقِيلَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَبَّرَهَا خَمْسًا " أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ.
Ibn Abi Layla (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) used to lead the funeral prayers over our dead and say four takbirs; one day he said five takbirs. He was spoken to about this, and he said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said five takbirs."
