أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ ابْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ ⦗٣٨⦘ قَيْسٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ: " أَتَيْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَرَأَيْتُ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجِنَازَةِ ".
Ziyad bin Qays al-Ash'ari said: I came to Madinah and saw the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (may Allah be pleased with them) from the Muhajirun and the Ansar walking in front of the funeral.
