أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا جَعْفَرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَوْنٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: حَضَرْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ جِنَازَةَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَرِفَ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: " هَذِهِ مَيْمُونَةُ إِذَا رَفَعْتُمْ نَعْشَهَا فَلَا تُزَعْزِعُوهُ وَلَا تُزَلْزِلُوهُ وَارْفُقُوا، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعُ نِسْوَةٍ، فَكَانَ يَقْسِمُ لِثَمَانٍ، وَلَا يَقْسِمُ لِوَاحِدَةٍ " أَخْرَجَاهُ فِي الصَّحِيحِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ.
Ibn Jurayj narrates from Ata' that we attended, with Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), the funeral of Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), at Sarif. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: This is Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). When you lift her body, do not shake it much; rather, be gentle. For the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had nine wives; he (peace and blessings be upon him) kept a share in the turns for eight, and did not allot a turn to one.
