Al-Muttalib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that when Sayyiduna Uthman bin Maz'un (may Allah be pleased with him) died, his funeral was brought out and he was buried. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a man to bring a stone, but he was unable to lift it. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to it and rolled the cloth back from his forearms. Kathir says: Al-Muttalib said: The one who told me this said: It is as if I can see the whiteness of the forearms of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he rolled back the cloth. Then he lifted it, placed it at his head, and said: "So that my brother's grave may be known by it, and so that I may bury beside him whoever of my family dies."
