Bayhaqi 6705 — Perfuming with musk and camphor
Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: Apply camphor at the end, or something like camphor. Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that camphor is to be placed on the place of prostration.
أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْفَارِسِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي تَوْبَةَ الصُّوفِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ الْآمُلِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنِي زَائِدَةُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّخَعِيَّ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: " الْكَافُورُ يُوضَعُ عَلَى مَوَاضِعِ السُّجُودِ ".
Hammam bin Yahya said: Za'idah informed me that Alqamah narrates from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Camphor is to be placed on the place of prostration.
