أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنبأ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْعَيْزَارِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عَجِبْتُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ، إِنْ أَصَابَهُ خَيْرٌ حَمِدَ اللهَ وَشَكَرَ، وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ مُصِيبَةٌ حَمِدَ اللهَ وَصَبَرَ، فَالْمُؤْمِنُ يُؤْجَرُ عَلَى كُلِّ أَمْرِهِ، حَتَّى يُؤْجَرَ فِي اللُّقْمَةِ يَرْفَعُهَا إِلَى فِي امْرَأَتِهِ ". وَفِي هَذَا أَخْبَارٌ كَثِيرَةٌ، وَفِيمَا ذَكَرْنَا كِفَايَةٌ لِمَنْ أُيِّدَ بِالتَّوْفِيقِ.
Umar bin Sa'd narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I marvel at the believer: if some good comes to him, he praises and thanks Allah Almighty; and if a calamity befalls him, he still praises Allah and is patient. So the believer is rewarded in every state, even for the morsel he puts into his wife's mouth."
