أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يُونُسَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَمِينَةَ، ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: " اجْتَمَعَ عِيدَانِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " إِنَّهُ قَدْ اجْتَمَعَ عِيدُكُمْ هَذَا وَالْجُمُعَةُ، وَإِنَّا مُجَمِّعُونَ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يُجَمِّعَ فَلْيُجَمِّعْ، فَلَمَّا صَلَّى الْعِيدَ جَمَّعَ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When two Eids fell on one day in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "When your Eid and the Jumu'ah fall on one day, we will also offer the Jumu'ah. Whoever wishes to pray the Jumu'ah, let him pray it." When he (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed the Eid prayer, he then prayed the Jumu'ah as well.
