أَخْبَرَنَا بِصِحَّةِ مَا قَالَهُ يَحْيَى أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ زَيْدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَلَوِيُّ، وَأَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّجَّارُ الْمُقْرِئُ بِالْكُوفَةِ قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ دُحَيْمٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ: " صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالنَّاسِ الْعِيدَ ثُمَّ قَالَ: " مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ فَلْيَذْهَبْ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَقْعُدَ فَلْيَقْعُدْ ".
Ibn Jurayj (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the people in the Eid prayer, then said: "Whoever wishes to go, let him go, and whoever wishes to sit, let him sit."
