وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ مِنْ مَعْنَاهُ. إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " ثُمَّ قَامَ مُتَوَكِّئًا عَلَى بِلَالٍ، فَأَمَرَ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ، وَحَثَّ عَلَى طَاعَتِهِ، وَوَعَظَ النَّاسَ، وَذَكَّرَهُمْ، ثُمَّ مَضَى حَتَّى أَتَى النِّسَاءَ، وَقَالَ فِي آخِرِهِ: فَجَعَلْنَ يَتَصَدَّقْنَ مِنْ حُلِيِّهِنَّ، يُلْقِينَ فِي ثَوْبِ بِلَالٍ مِنْ أَقْرَاطِهِنَّ وَخَوَاتِمِهِنَّ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ.
Abd al-Malik bin Abi Sulayman narrates a similar hadith, but in it are these words: he (peace and blessings be upon him) was leaning on Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him); he (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded mindfulness of Allah (taqwa), urged obedience, and exhorted and admonished the people; then he came to the women. At the end of this hadith it is that the women were putting their jewellery, earrings and rings into the cloth of Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him).
