أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: " شَهِدْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعِيدَ، فَكَبَّرَ فِي الْأُولَى سَبْعًا قَبْلَ الْقِرَاءَةِ، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ خَمْسًا قَبْلَ الْقِرَاءَةِ ".
Thabit bin Qays (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I attended the Eid prayer with Umar bin Abd al-Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him). He said seven takbirs in the first rak'ah before the recitation, and five takbirs in the second rak'ah before the recitation.
