It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: One night I missed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I searched for him with my hand, and my hands touched his (peace and blessings be upon him) feet; they were upright on the ground, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was in prostration, reciting this supplication: 'Allahumma a'udhu bi-mu'afatika min 'uqubatika, wa a'udhu bi-ridaka min sakhatika, wa a'udhu bika minka, la uhsi thana'an 'alayka, anta kama athnayta 'ala nafsik' (O Allah, I seek refuge through Your pardon from Your punishment, and through Your pleasure from Your displeasure, and I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot fully enumerate Your praise; You are as You have praised Yourself).
