(a) Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Ukaydir of Dumah gave the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a cloak (jubbah) as a gift. Sa'id (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I think it was of fine silk, and this was before silk was made unlawful. He (peace and blessings be upon him) wore it and the people were amazed, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The handkerchiefs of Sa'd in Paradise are better than this."
(b) Sa'id bin Abi Arubah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This was before silk was made unlawful.
(c) Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Ukaydir of Dumah, who was one of the polytheists, gave the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a gift.
