أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ بِبَغْدَادَ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْبِرْتِيُّ قَالَا: ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ الْمُقْرِئُ بِمَكَّةَ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ وَصِيفٍ الْغَزِّيُّ بِغَزَّةَ، ثنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الْغَزِّيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ مَهْرَوَيْهٍ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَبْدِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: خَرَجْتُ إِلَى الطُّورِ فَلَقِيتُ كَعْبَ الْأَحْبَارِ فَجَلَسْتُ مَعَهُ فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنِ التَّوْرَاةِ وَحَدَّثْتُهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ فِيمَا حَدَّثْتُهُ أَنْ قُلْتُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ فِيهِ الشَّمْسُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ، فِيهِ خُلِقَ آدَمُ، وَفِيهِ أُهْبِطَ، وَفِيهِ تِيبَ عَلَيْهِ، وَفِيهِ مَاتَ، وَفِيهِ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ، وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ إِلَّا وَهِيَ مُسِيخَةٌ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنْ حِينِ يُصْبِحُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ⦗٣٥٦⦘ شَفَقًا مِنَ السَّاعَةِ إِلَّا الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ، وَفِيهِ سَاعَةٌ لَا يُصَادِفُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي يَسْأَلُ اللهُ فِيهَا خَيْرًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ اللهُ إِيَّاهُ ". فَقَالَ كَعْبٌ: ذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ يَوْمٌ، فَقُلْتُ: بَلْ هُوَ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ قَالَ: فَقَرَأَ كَعْبُ الْأَحْبَارِ التَّوْرَاةَ، فَقَالَ: صَدَقَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا آخَرَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: ثُمَّ لَقِيتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ سَلَامٍ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ بِمَجْلِسِي مَعَ كَعْبِ الْأَحْبَارِ وَمَا حَدَّثْتُهُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: قَالَ كَعْبٌ: ذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ يَوْمٌ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: كَذَبَ كَعْبٌ، فَقُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ كَعْبٌ التَّوْرَاةَ فَقَالَ: بَلْ هِيَ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةِ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ: صَدَقَ كَعْبٌ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ: قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَيَّةَ سَاعَةٍ هِيَ، فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: فَأَخْبِرْنِي بِهَا وَلَا تَضِنَّنَ، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ: هِيَ آخِرُ سَاعَةٍ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: وَكَيْفَ تَكُونُ آخِرُ سَاعَةٍ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَقَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يُصَادِفُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، وَتِلْكَ سَاعَةٌ لَا يُصَلَّى فِيهَا، فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَلَامٍ: أَلَمْ يَقُلْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ جَلَسَ مَجْلِسًا يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ فَهُوَ فِي صَلَاةٍ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ "، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: قُلْتُ: بَلَى. قَالَ: هُوَ ذَلِكَ. لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ. وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَرَوَاهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فَجَعَلَ قَوْلَهُ " خَيْرُ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ فِيهِ الشَّمْسُ " رِوَايَةً عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ كَعْبٍ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I went towards al-Tur, and there I met Ka'b al-Ahbar. I sat with him, and he narrated to me about the Torah and I narrated to him about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best day on which the sun rises is the day of Friday. On it Adam (peace be upon him) was created, on it he was sent down from Paradise, on it his repentance was accepted, on it he died, and on it the Hour will be established. Every creature except the jinn and mankind listens attentively on the day of Friday, from dawn until the sun rises, out of fear of the Hour. And in it there is an hour which, if a Muslim servant coincides with it while he is in prayer asking Allah for good, Allah Almighty will grant it to him." Ka'b said: That is one day in every year. I said: No, rather this day comes every Friday. Then Ka'b al-Ahbar recited the Torah and said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke the truth. Then he narrated another hadith. Then he said that Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Then I met Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) and told him about my sitting with Ka'b al-Ahbar and what I had narrated to him about the day of Friday, and I told him that Ka'b al-Ahbar said: This day comes once a year. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Ka'b has spoken falsely. I said: Yes; then Ka'b recited the Torah and said: Yes, this day is in every Friday. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Ka'b has spoken the truth. Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I know which hour it is. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Tell me too, and do not be miserly with it. Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is the last hour of the day of Friday. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: How can you say that it is the last hour of the day of Friday, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A Muslim servant coincides with this hour while he is in the state of prayer," and this is a time in which no prayer is offered? Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) not say: "Whoever sits waiting for the prayer is in the state of prayer until he prays"? Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Yes, it is just like that.
