Bayhaqi 5828 — Keeping silent for the sermon

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a similar hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but he used the word 'laghayta' (you have engaged in idle talk). Ibn Uyaynah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: This is the dialect of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) himself.
