Bayhaqi 5823 — The imam speaking during the sermon
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْخَطِيبُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ قَالَ: أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ خَارِجًا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ: " تَعَالَ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ ".
Ata bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) outside the mosque while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abdullah bin Mas'ud! Come forward."
