Bayhaqi 5716 — The people turn their faces towards the imam and listen
اُردوEn
وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ قَالَ: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ فَأَخْبَرَنِي، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ: " كَانَ يَفْرَغُ مِنْ سُبْحَتِهِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ الْإِمَامِ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ لَمْ يَقْعُدِ الْإِمَامُ حَتَّى يَسْتَقْبِلَهُ ".
Nafi' narrates from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he would finish his voluntary prayers before the imam came out; when the imam came, he would turn his face towards him even before he sat down.
