وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ السُّكَّرِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ التَّرْقُفِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنِي إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ، قَالَ: " كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ ثُمَّ نَنْصَرِفُ وَلَيْسَ لِلْحِيطَانِ ظِلٌّ يُسْتَظَلُّ بِهِ ".
Iyas bin Salamah bin al-Akwa' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with him) (his father was one of the Companions of the Tree): We used to pray the Friday prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and then leave, and the walls had no shade in which we could take shelter.
