Bayhaqi 5628 — A man prostrating on the back of the one in front
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ، أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا تَمْتَامٌ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: " صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَرَأَ النَّجْمَ، فَسَجَدَ بِنَا فَأَطَالَ السُّجُودَ، وَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ، فَصَلَّى بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَعْضٍ ".
Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah al-Najm, then prostrated and prolonged the prostration. The people were very many, so they were prostrating on one another's backs.
