Bayhaqi 5601 — One who comes to Friday prayer voluntarily from farther

Amr bin Muhajir narrates from his father that he heard Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) say: The Friday prayer is obligatory upon the one who returns to his home; and he used to say in his sermon: O people of Qarad! O people of Rakiyyah, and of the outskirts of al-Ghutah, and those near al-Thaniyyah! The Friday prayer (attend it); he said this twice.
This has also been narrated in a musnad hadith, except that it is extremely weak; we have mentioned it so that its chain may be known.
