Abu al-Tufayl narrates from Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on the expedition of Tabuk. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) set off before the sun passed its zenith, he would delay Zuhr until he combined it with Asr; and when he set off after the sun had passed its zenith, he would pray Zuhr and Asr together and then travel on. When he set off before Maghrib, he would delay Maghrib and pray it with Isha; and when he set off after Maghrib, he would hasten Isha and pray it with Maghrib.
Only Qutaybah bin Sa'id narrated it from al-Layth, from Yazid.
