وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: " سَافَرْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَقَامَ سَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْمًا يَقْصُرُ الصَّلَاةَ ". وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ فَقَالَ فِي أَكْثَرِ الرِّوَايَاتِ عَنْهُ: تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ.
Ikrimah reports from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): I travelled with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and during a stay of seventeen days he (peace and blessings be upon him) shortened the prayer.
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated this same hadith from Asim al-Ahwal, and in most of the narrations (from him) he mentioned nineteen days.
