Bayhaqi 5427 — One who left shortening the prayer while travelling

أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ الصُّورِيُّ، قَالَ، وَثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْغَزِّيُّ.
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I went with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for Umrah in Ramadan. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) broke his fast while I fasted, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) shortened the prayer while I prayed it in full. I said: O Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you (peace and blessings be upon him)! You (peace and blessings be upon him) broke your fast while I fasted, and you (peace and blessings be upon him) shortened the prayer while I prayed it in full! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Aishah, you did well."
