أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْمَخْرَمِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: " لَوْ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَحْدَثَ النِّسَاءُ بَعْدَهُ لَمَنَعَهُنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا مُنِعَتْهُ نِسَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ". قُلْنَا: يَا هَذِهِ، تَعْنِي لِعَمْرَةَ، أَوَمُنِعَتْهُ نِسَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ عَمْرٍو النَّاقِدِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، وَأَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ عَنْ يَحْيَى.
Amrah bint Abd al-Rahman narrates from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): If the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had seen what the women began to do after him, he would certainly have prevented them from the mosques, just as the women of Bani Isra'il were prevented. We said to Amrah: Were the women of Bani Isra'il prevented from it? She said: Yes.
