وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ جَوْنِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُحَبِّقِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكٍ إِلَى بَيْتٍ فَإِذَا قِرْبَةٌ مُعَلَّقَةٌ فَسَأَلَ الْمَاءَ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ؟ فَقَالَ: " دِبَاغُهَا طَهُورُهَا ". ⦗٢٧⦘ وَهَكَذَا رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، وَهِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ فِي أَصَحِّ الرِّوَايَتَيْنِ عَنْهُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ مَوْصُولًا.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin al-Muhabbiq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), during the expedition of Tabuk, came to a house, and there was a waterskin hanging there. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for water, and the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: It is (made from the skin of) a carcass. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its tanning is its purification."
