Alqamah bin Waqqas narrates from Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray nine rak'ahs of witr; then he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed seven rak'ahs of witr, and after the witr he prayed two rak'ahs sitting, reciting in them. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to bow, he would stand up and then bow and prostrate.
(b) In the narration of Muhammad bin Amr, Alqamah bin Waqqas said: "O mother! How did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pray the two rak'ahs?"
(c) Al-Hasan narrates from Sa'd bin Hisham that he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite in them "Say: O disbelievers" [Surah al-Kafirun: 1] and "When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake" [Surah al-Zalzalah: 1].
