أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ إِمْلَاءً، ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، نا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الزَّعْفَرَانِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ: " لَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ لِغَائِطٍ وَلَا بَوْلٍ، وَلَا تَسْتَدْبِرُوهَا ". وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Do not face the qiblah or turn your backs to it when relieving yourselves or urinating." And on another occasion he narrated it as marfu' (attributed) to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
