وَالَّذِي أَنْبَأَهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، ثنا أَبُو حَفْصٍ الْأَبَّارُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ " صَلَّى بِالْقَوْمِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَأَعَادَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُمْ فَأَعَادُوا " ⦗٥٦٠⦘ فَهَذَا إِنَّمَا يَرْوِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ رَمَاهُ الْحُفَّاظُ بِالْكَذِبِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that he led the people in prayer while in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah); he repeated the prayer himself, then he ordered them and they also repeated it.
Only Amr bin Khalid Abu Makhlad al-Wasiti narrates this, and he is matruk (abandoned); the hadith masters accused him of lying.
