أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ قَالَا: أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الْأَزْرَقُ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنِ الشَّرِيدِ الثَّقَفِيِّ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ، فَأَعَادَ وَلَمْ يَأْمُرْهُمْ أَنْ يُعِيدُوا ".
It is narrated from al-Sharid al-Thaqafi (may Allah be pleased with him) that Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) led the people in prayer while in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah). He (may Allah be pleased with him) repeated the prayer himself, but he did not order those who had prayed behind him to repeat it.
