وَأنبأ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، أنبأ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي خُثَيْمُ بْنُ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَخْلَفَ سِبَاعَ بْنَ عُرْفُطَةَ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: وَقَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ مُهَاجِرًا فَصَلَّيْتُ الصُّبْحَ وَرَاءَ سِبَاعٍ، فَقَرَأَ فِي السَّجْدَةِ الْأُولَى سُورَةَ مَرْيَمَ وَفِي الْأُخْرَى وَيْلٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قُلْتُ: وَيْلٌ لِأَبِي فُلْ أَوْ قَالَ: لِأَبِي فُلَانَ، لِرَجُلٍ كَانَ بِأَرْضِ الْأَزْدِ كَانَ لَهُ مِكْيَالِانِ مِكْيَالٌ يَكْتَالُ بِهِ لِنَفْسِهِ وَمِكْيَالٌ يَبْخَسُ بِهِ النَّاسَ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out (from Madinah) and appointed Sayyiduna Siba' bin Urfutah (may Allah be pleased with him) as governor over Madinah. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to Madinah as an emigrant, and I prayed the morning prayer behind Siba'. He recited Surah Maryam in the first rak'ah, and in the second rak'ah he recited: "Woe to those who give less [than due]" [Surah al-Mutaffifin: 1]. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: Woe to Abu Ful, or he said: to Abu so-and-so. This man lived in the land of "Azd". He kept two measures: with one he measured what he took for himself (this one was larger), and with the other he measured what he gave to people (this one was smaller), and he gave people short measure.
