Bayhaqi 3799 — s on the prostration of forgetfulness

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the call (adhan) is given for the prayer, Satan runs away breaking wind, fleeing so far that he cannot hear the call. Then, when the call is finished, he comes back, and when the iqamah is given he runs away again. When the iqamah is finished he returns again and puts thoughts into the heart of the one praying, until he says: Remember such-and-such; he reminds him of things he had not been remembering. At that point the man does not know how many rak'ahs he has prayed, three or four. (When this happens,) let the one praying perform two prostrations while sitting."
