أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بِشْرَانَ الْعَدْلُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، وَسُفْيَانُ، وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِوُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ " قَالَ: فَدَعَا بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ، فَجَعَلَ يَغْرِفُ غَرْفَةً غَرْفَةً لِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ، وَقَالَ: تَوَضَّأَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Shall I not tell you about the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? Then he called for a vessel of water and began taking a single scoop from it for each limb. In another narration it is that he said: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution washing each part once.
