وَمِنْهَا مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْوَرَّاقُ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبُرِّيِّ الْقَاضِي، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا رَبِيعَةُ الْكِنَانِيُّ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَرَاقَ الْمَاءَ فِي الرَّحَبَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: " أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ عَنْ وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ " فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَوَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ حَتَّى أَلَمَّ أَنْ يَقْطُرَ، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " هَكَذَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ". لَيْسَ فِي رِوَايَةِ الْفَقِيهِ قَوْلُهُ: " حَتَّى أَلَمَّ أَنْ يَقْطُرَ " وَالْبَاقِي سَوَاءٌ.
It is narrated from Zirr bin Hubaysh that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He poured water into a vessel, then asked: Where is the questioner who asked about the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? Then he washed his hands three times, his face three times and his forearms three times, and he wiped his head, so that water was almost dripping from it, and he washed his feet three times each. Then he said: This is how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ablution.
