حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ إِمْلَاءً أنبأ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، حَدَّثَهُ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ: جِئْتُ أَنَا وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ وَنَحْنُ عَلَى أَتَانٍ لَنَا، فَمَرَرْنَا بِبَعْضِ الصَّفِّ، فَنَزَلْنَا عَنْهَا وَتَرَكْنَاهَا تَرْتَعُ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا " رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ فِي الصَّحِيحِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى وَغَيْرِهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ.
Ubaydullah bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) relates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I and Sayyiduna al-Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) came on the day of Arafah while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was leading the people in prayer, and we had come riding our she-donkey. We passed in front of part of the row, then got down from it and left it to graze, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say anything to us.
