(a) Al-Walid bin Hassan al-Thawri recited the Qur'an to Abu Muhammad Ya'qub bin Ishaq bin Yazid al-Hadrami, who was a scholar of the Qur'anic readings; he too recited "and your feet (wa arjulakum)" [Surah al-Ma'idah: 6] in the accusative.
(b) Ibrahim bin Yazid al-Taymi also used to recite it in the accusative.
(c) Likewise Abdullah bin Amir al-Yahsubi, Asim in the narration of Hafs, Abu Bakr bin Ayyash in the narration of al-A'sha, and al-Kisa'i: all of these recited it in the accusative, and whoever recited it in the genitive did so only because of its proximity (to the preceding word).
(d) Al-A'mash says: They used to recite it in the genitive, and they used to wash their feet.
