باب: قراءة من قرأ وأرجلكم نصبا وأن الأمر رجع إلى الغسل وأن من قرأها خفضا فإنما هو للمجاورة
Chapter: The reading of those who read wa arjulakum in the accusative, that the command refers back to washing, and that those who read it in the genitive did so only because of proximity

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، أنا أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا الْنَضْرَوِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثنا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ {وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوُسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ} قَالَ: " عَادَ الْأَمْرُ إِلَى الْغَسْلِ"..
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to recite: "And wipe over your heads and (wash) your feet (wa arjulakum)" [Surah al-Ma'idah: 6], and he would say: The ruling on the feet has returned to washing.
