أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الْمَالِينِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ الْقَزَّازُ بِمِصْرَ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى كَاتِبُ الْعُمَرِيِّ ثنا مُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ الْخَلِيلِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " عَلِّمُوا صِبْيَانَكُمُ الصَّلَاةَ فِي سَبْعِ سِنِينَ، وَأَدِّبُوهُمْ عَلَيْهَا فِي عَشْرِ سِنِينَ، وَفَرِّقُوا بَيْنَهُمْ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ، وَإِذَا زَوَّجَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَمَتَهُ عَبْدَهُ أَوْ أَجِيرَهُ فَلَا تَنْظُرْ إِلَى عَوْرَتِهِ، وَالْعَوْرَةُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ السُّرَّةِ وَالرُّكْبَةِ ".
Amr bin Shu'ayb narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Teach children to pray at the age of seven, punish them for not praying at the age of ten, and separate their beds. And when you marry your slave-girl to your slave or servant, then never look at his awrah; and the awrah is the area between the navel and the knee."
