أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْإِسْفَرَايِينِيُّ بِبُخَارَا ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ الْخُوَارِزْمِيُّ، ثنا مُغِيرَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا سَوَّارُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مُرُوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ بِالصَّلَاةِ فِي سَبْعِ سِنِينَ وَاضْرِبُوهُمْ عَلَيْهَا فِي عَشْرٍ، وَفَرِّقُوا بَيْنَهُمْ فِي الْمَضَاجِعِ، وَإِذَا زَوَّجَ أَحَدُكُمْ خَادِمَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِهِ أَوْ أَجِيرِهِ فَلَا يَنْظُرَنَّ إِلَى شَيْءٍ مِنْ عَوْرَتِهِ فَإِنَّ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَسْفَلَ مِنْ سُرَّتِهِ إِلَى رُكْبَتِهِ مِنْ عَوْرَتِهِ ".
Amr bin Shu'ayb narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When your children reach seven years of age, teach them to pray; punish them for not praying at the age of ten; and separate their sleeping places. And when one of you marries his slave-girl to his servant or hired worker, then let her not look at his awrah, and the awrah is between the navel and the knees."
