حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو حَامِدِ بْنُ الشَّرْقِيِّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَرَّاءُ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي ⦗٣١٢⦘ الضُّحَى، عَنْ شُتَيْرِ بْنِ شَكَلٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: شُغِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى صَلَّى مَا بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ، فَقَالَ: " شَغَلُونَا عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ مَلَأَ اللهُ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ نَارًا ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Trench, the Asr prayer was missed by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) because of his engagement in the fighting. He offered the Asr prayer between Maghrib and Isha, and said: "We were kept occupied from the middle prayer. May Allah Almighty fill their graves and their houses with fire."
