(a) Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) two rak'ahs before Zuhr, two rak'ahs after Zuhr, two rak'ahs after Maghrib, two rak'ahs after Isha and two rak'ahs after Jumu'ah; and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would offer the (voluntary) rak'ahs of Maghrib, Isha and Jumu'ah in his house.
(b) Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) told me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would offer two short rak'ahs after the dawn had broken and before performing the Fajr prayer, and that was a time when I would not go in to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
(c) In this blessed hadith there is an indication that he (peace and blessings be upon him) offered the two rak'ahs before Zuhr and the two rak'ahs after it in the mosque.
